Apple named top triathlon

The Pushor Mitchell Kelowna Apple Triathlon has gotten the attention of a national magazine dedicated to endurance sports, recreation and adventure.

In a readers poll conducted by 'Get Out There' magazine, the Kelowna Apple Triathlon was named the best triathlon in Western Canada.

The poll shows up in the latest issue of the magazine.

The Apple, which began in 1983, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2012.

On-line registration for the 2012 events Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19 are now being accepted.
