Castanet viewers have reported two separate fires burning in the Okanagan Saturday.

Burning was permitted  and the Kamloops fire district is reporting no active wildfires in the region.

The first images were taken from the air by Ryan Nicholls,Okanagan Mountain Helicopters  .

The others were taken at 4:30 p.m., on top of the Okanagan Connector by Dirk Handke.

He was on his way home from Vancouver to Kelowna when he spotted the flames from a large burn near Elkhart Lodge.
