All available public tickets to the January 27 Opening Ceremonies at Prospera Place have been snapped up.

Tickets became available to the public on January 1 via the Kelowna2011 website and in a matter of three days all of the free tickets are spoken for.

Organizing Committee Chair, Heather Schneider, says she is overwhelmed with the response from the public.

"I'm very excited at the way the residents of Kelowna have responded and embraced the International Children's Winter Games. Not only with the Opening Ceremonies but with our Volunteer and Host Family programs as well," says Schneider.

A wait-list has been created in the event that additional tickets become available prior to the January 27 event. Visit www.kelowna2011.com and click on the "Register Now" button on the right side of the home page.
