Children's Winter Games coming soon

The opening ceremonies of the fifth International Children's Winter Games (ICWG) is just weeks away.
Kelowna is hosting the first ICWG to be held outside of Europe in the 43 year history of the games.
The ICWG aim to enable, develop and advance the meeting, understanding and friendship of students from different countries around the world and promote the Olympic ideal.
A two hour-show at Prospera Place on January 27 will mark the official opening of the ICWG Kelowna 2011.
The program will feature a variety of local talent, music and dance, the parade of athletes, and the arrival of the ICG torch.
The opening ceremonies are free to the public in large part to the sponsorship of the program by the nine local Rotary clubs of Kelowna, West Kelowna and Lake Country.
