Kelowna RCMP are investigating the circumstances surrounding a four-vehicle crash on Highway 97 and Commonwealth Road just after 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Police say it appears at this stage that a vehicle may have proceeded through a red light causing the collision.
Three of the vehicles were regular passenger vehicles and the fourth was a courier van.
Sgt. Ann Morrison says two people from two different vehicles were transported to Kelowna General Hospital for treatment.
Traffic was slowed for about an hour.
More details will be released Wednesday after information is obtained from potential witnesses and the investigating officer.
Police are looking for information from anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
