Two men are being investigated for possible firearms charges after being spotted with what appeared to be a handgun.
Kelowna RCMP received a call Friday reporting two men in a white car handling what looked like a handgun.
Staff Sergeant Terry McLachlan says the men were seen driving towards the Bennett Bridge.
“This vehicle was quickly spotted by the RCMP and they maneuvered to intercept it as they traveled on to the bridge. The driver of the vehicle willingly pulled over while on the bridge and the two male occupants were taken into custody,” says McLachlan.
He says officers seized from the vehicle two replica handguns and a long rifle.
“The two males are being investigated for possible charges relating to the possession of these firearms.”
