Fire crews jumped into action Sunday after a grass fire broke out in the Mission.
Flames broke in Mission Creek Park at the end of Hall Road.
The flames scorched about 70x70 metres before crews brought the flames under control.
Forestry bombers also joined the fight.
Officials say the cause of the fire is undetermined, however does not appear to be suspicious.
"This is an area of high public activity, and with the current conditions the Kelowna Fire Department would like to urge residents and visitors to use extreme caution in wooded areas," says Assistant Chief, Thomas Doherty.
RDCO parks has closed the Mission Creek park until further notice.
