Residents can learn about a new multi-use corridor project planned for Lakeshore Road during an open house Thursday, July 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Displays of the corridor alignment and facilities for pedestrians and cyclists will be available for viewing at the open house in Rotary Beach Park, 3726 Lakeshore Road.

Based upon the public feedback, the City and consultants will be developing a preliminary design for the off-road path along Lakeshore Road between Gyro Beach Park and Mission Creek.

Interested members of the public are invited to help shape the design and provide ideas and suggestions.

City staff and consultants from MMM Group and Site 360 will be at the open house to answer questions and receive comments.

Construction of the multi-use corridor is expected to begin in 2010.
