Robbers hit Rutland shop twice

A family business in Rutland has been rocked by a violent robbery.

Three men entered Kelowna Chain Saws on Leathead Road early Thursday morning and got away with a generator.

One of the employees was hurt after she tried to stop the crooks from escaping in a van.

"She was trying to stop them and got dragged by the van," says John Anderson Jr. who's family owns the business. The extent of the employee's injuries is not known.

Anderson says the same guys stole some merchandise from his store the day prior to Thursday's robbery.

"We recognize the one gentlemen, he had straggly hair the day before and today he had a shaved head."

Police managed to track down two of the three suspects at a known drug house on Richter St. in Kelowna's north end where police recovered the stolen generator.

The third suspect remains at large.
