A single vehicle accident early Sunday morning has resulted in a man being arrested.
Police say they responded to the crash in the 2700 block of Highway 97 in Kelowna around 4 a.m. Sunday, where they found a man who said he was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle.
However, a witness indicated he saw a second man running from the scene, and with the help of footprints in the snow, police tracked down a suspect who was in breach of his house arrest conditions.
The 23-year-old Lake Country man remains in custody, and the 22-year old driver was issued a violation ticket.
Police say alcohol was not a factor.
