CRIME: BREAK & ENTER AND THEFT

A business in the 2500 block of Harvey Avenue was in the middle of doing some renovations when the work got interrupted by thieves. Sometime between Wednesday, October 31st and Thursday, November 1st, thieves gained access to the business and took carpentry tools, described as:
  • 1 chopsaw 12 inch blade
  • 1 red air compressor
  • 1 yellow Dewalt circular saw
  • 1 carpenter’s tool belt, black, with screw drivers, measuring tape, pencils
  • 1 yellow Dewalt drill

    CRIME: ATTEMPTED ROBBERY

    On Wednesday, October 31st, early in the evening, the RCMP responded to a call at the corner of Bryden Road and Highway 33. A pedestrian was on her way home from shopping when she was attacked by two males, who jumped out of the bushes and tried to grab her purse. The victim, who had her purse strapped across her chest, did not give in without a fight. The two youths are described as:

  • Male #1: 14 – 15 years of age, with dark scraggly hair, wearing sandals, an open dark blue jacket, blue jeans.
  • Male #2: 12 – 13 years of age, with a blonde crew cut hair style, wearing a light blue t-shirt and shorts. This male may have a mark on his face from being hit with a grocery bag.
