A Kelowna cab driver has been charged with sexual assault after an incident that took place May 26.
Gagandeep Singh Sidhu, 37, was arrested May 30 following a report two days earlier that a woman had been sexually assaulted by her cab driver.
The victim was allegedly outside the vehicle at her final destination when the assault took place.
Following Sidhu's arrest, his chauffeurs permit was revoked and he was released on strict conditions.
On July 4, Sidhu made his first court appearance, and a further court appearance is set for July 25 at 1:30 p.m.
