Kelowna getting milked?

Kelownians are paying less for milk than the national average – but still among the higher prices across Canada.

Field Agent Canada released its annual Canadian Fluid Milk report on Tuesday, and it found Kelowna pays an average of $4.85 for a four-litre container of two per cent milk.

The national average is $5.17, which is no doubt inflated by figures like the $7.33 consumers pay in Charlottetown and $6.71 in Laval, Que.

Field Agent Canada conducted its milk survey at 174 retail outlets in 20 markets between May 22 and May 29.
