UPDATE: 12:30 p.m.

Damage has been reported to vehicles and property from flooding caused by a water main break in Lake Country Thursday morning.

The break occurred at Glenmore Road and Okanagan Centre Road West where construction crews have been working on the road.

Massive amounts of water flooded the road and the force pushed water through residential properties and down to Highway 97.

The water and resulting debris caused significant damage to at least two employee vehicles at Voyager RV on Highway 97.

Deborah Bruneau, an employee at Voyager RV told Castanet reporter Alanna Kelly her vehicle was one of the two hit by a rock slide resulting from the water.

"Within minutes, the entire hillside came down," she said.

"It was like a waterfall."

A second vehicle was almost completely buried. All that was visible was the top of the hood and a lone windshield wiper peeking out through the debris.
