Cummings returns to KCT

Canadian rock legend Burton Cummings returns to Kelowna this fall with his "Up Close and Alone" 2019 tour.

Cummings, who sold out the same show two years ago, will be back at the Kelowna Community Theatre Oct. 20.

With one of the most recognizable voices in rock music, Cummings scored a string of international hits with the Guess Who, then continued that success when he went solo in 1976.

He recorded more than a dozen hit singles and albums, beginning with debut single, Stand Tall, and continuing with the likes of I’m Scared, I will Play a Rhapsody, Timeless Love, Break it to Them Gently, Fine State of Affairs, You Saved my Soul, My own Way to Rock and Dream of a Child.

That latter disc became the first quadruple platinum-selling album by a Canadian artist.

Many of his hits can be heard on Castanet's partner radio station, Soft 103.9

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 24 at Select Your Tickets and the Prospera Place box office.
