Clash of the big biceps

If big biceps are your thing, you won't want to miss the B.C. Armwrestling Championship this Sunday in Kelowna.

The 43rd annual event takes place at the Royal Anne Hotel on Bernard Avenue.

Weigh-ins are 10 a.m. to noon, and the competition starts at 1 p.m.

There are separate classes for lefties and right-handers, and four weight classes for the men's competition, from lightweight to heavyweight. Women's competition is open.

There is also a pro class for competitors with experience and a master's class for those 40 and over, as well as a youth category for arm wrestlers as young as six.

Pro competitors must compete in the B.C.’s to enter in the national event.

The Okanagan Valley Championship follows June 1 at Summerland City Park.
