Msg from concerned driver

A Kelowna man is left traumatized and wants to speak to a young man who allegedly tried to run him off Glenmore Road. 

Dan Marcotte was driving in his Dodge Journey on Glenmore Road at about 8 p.m. when the shocking incident unfolded. 

“He put my life in danger and this young kid on a pedal bike's life in danger,” he said. 

Marcotte had his family in the vehicle and as the lanes were merging into one, he tried to move over.

“As I went to pass him this young kid in his BMW cranked his wheel and he tried to run me off the road,” he said through tears.

He had to slam on his brakes and almost hit a person who was on a bicycle beside the road. 

Marcotte says he would like to tell the young man how his actions could have changed multiple people’s lives. 

“You tried to use your vehicle as a weapon and I could have killed an innocent bystander,” said Marcotte. 

Kelowna RCMP Cpl. Meghan Foster said an investigation did take place, but no criminal charges are pending.
