Slippery Hwy 97C

As snow continues to fall in the Okanagan Valley, the airport is juggling delays and some sections of the Okanagan Connector are slippery.

Kelowna International Airport has had four delayed aircraft on Thursday and one cancelled flight out of Calgary.

According to Environment Canada, two to four centimetres is expected to fall on Thursday and snow will continue to fall until about 6 p.m.

A special weather statement has not been issued for the Southern Interior and the only statements are for the coast as of Thursday afternoon.

Drive BC says there is compact snow and slippery sections on Highway 5 and Highway 97 C.

Castanet has reached out to YLW to learn more about the delays and see how they are handling the snow.
