A Kelowna first

A new exhibition set to open at the Kelowna Art Gallery promises to be a must-see show.

A Cultivating Journey: The Herman H. Levy Legacy showcases more than sixty paintings, drawings, and etchings that span over five centuries of visual art.

The earliest pieces in the exhibition date from the late 15th Century, including two etchings on paper by German Renaissance artist Albrecht Durer.

“We are thrilled to share this collection from the McMaster Museum of Art with local audiences,” says Nataley Nagy, Executive Director at the Kelowna Art Gallery.

A Cultivating Journey: The Herman H. Levy Legacy is on view from June 16 to October 28, 2018. The exhibition is organized and circulated by the McMaster Museum of Art and curated by senior curator Dr. Ihor Holubizky.

"It is a unique opportunity to see something in the flesh rather than the reproduction. So I always like to think this is like going to a live concert."
