Doughnut worry!

Madison Erhardt

It's always a good day when you get to indulge in a giant doughnut.

Kelowna's 350 Bakehouse and Cafe dropped off a box of giant doughnuts, Wednesday, spelling out Castanet.

"We have been getting a lot of requests for words made out of doughnuts. I thought it would be a good idea to go around town to different businesses, so we stopped by Castanet this morning," said owner Ed Wouda.

The baker says it takes about three hours to make the giant treats.

"We are not a big shop where it's just taken out of the freezer and then baked off, if you will. It's a three-hour process, making to deep-frying, until the end," Wouda said.

Wouda took an 18-year break from baking, and says it didn't take long to get back into it.

"I worked always for my dad. He taught me well. He comes down once in a while and helps me out."
