A hot air balloon had to make an unexpected landing in a Glenmore cul-de-sac Saturday in Kelowna.
Resident of Blondeaux Crescent Lisa Planz was in the shower before 8 a.m. when she heard her dog barking incessantly, an unusual occurrence.
"I peeked out the window, saw the balloon, and was like 'holy crap!'" Planz said.
She's not sure where they were headed, though she overheard they were headed to a baseball diamond. It's the first time she's seen anything like this in the several years she has lived in the area.
"I was shocked," Planz said. "I really don't know why it ended up here, but it was shocking."
Planz didn't see any police involved. The balloon was deflated and transported away.
