Volunteers are needed for this years Terry Fox Run
The 38th annual Terry Fox Run on Sept. 16 is expected to raise thousands of dollars for cancer research, but it doesn't just happen.
"We are 100 per cent volunteer run and need to have people in place now in order for the run to happen in September," said Donna White, provincial director B.C. and Yukon for the Terry Fox Foundation.
"We have positions on the committee, right through to handing out water bottles or working as a marshall on the day of run, the more people we have the easier for everyone."
Kelowna has contributed over $900,000 through the run since 1985 and has been one of the top communities in the Interior for fundraising and participation.
