Free stack of pancakes!

Madison Erhardt

It's one of the most delicious days of the year.

National Pancake Day is here and IHOPs across the country are celebrating by giving out free stacks of pancakes.

Three scrumptious buttermilk pancakes will be served up for those who donate to the B.C. Children's Hospital.

"Every stack served helps us reach our goal of raising $5 million for local children’s hospitals and health organizations," said Wendy Lutz, assistant manager of the IHOP on Harvey Avenue and Spall Road

Since IHOP National Pancake Day began in 2006, IHOP has raised close to $30 million.

"So far today our store has raised over $1,000 for B.C Children's Hospital," Lutz said. "Last year over $50,000 was raised across the province.

"It's a great feeling knowing that this money raised will go toward helping kids with the fight to get healthy."

IHOP on Harvey is open until 7 p.m. tonight.
