Thoughts on Family Day

Madison Erhardt

Premier John Horgan announced Friday that Family Day will be moved to the third week of February, in line with other Canadian provinces.

"Moving Family Day is the right thing to do for businesses small and large, and is better for families who may be spread out across the country," said Premier Horgan. "This gives families an opportunity to schedule and spend more time with loved ones from other provinces."

But the tourism industry is less than enthusiastic. The ski industry in particular had campaigned to keep the holiday as it was so it could benefit from two consecutive long weekend crowds.

Castanet hit the streets to find out if you're on board with the change.
