Police had guns drawn during a raid at a Kelowna apartment building on Tuesday.

Several officers in riot gear and with long guns responded to the Sutherland Avenue building.

A resident says he was sitting in his living room watching videos when he suddenly heard a loud bang.

"I heard there was a gentleman that walked into our building with a sawed-off shotgun. He walked into the apartment building onto the fourth floor, which was three doors down from my apartment," the man told Castanet.

He filmed four to five officers with guns standing at the door of the apartment about 4:30 p.m.

"The guy who lives in that apartment has people coming and going all the time. He is a shady character," he said.

The witness said he believes a male and female in their late twenties were arrested.

RCMP have yet to provide any information on the incident.
