Sharing his tragic story

A man with good reason to talk will listen on Bell Let's Talk Day, Wednesday.

Kelowna philanthropist Tom Budd will get on his bike and pedal around downtown coffee shops, sharing the tragic story of his two sons' suicides, and listening to the stories of anyone who wants to share their mental health struggles.

Budd is well known in the Central Okanagan for his support of numerous charities. It's not a stretch to say he has given away millions of dollars for worthy causes.

But, having everything couldn't keep his family from tragedy.

Budd will visit the Castanet studios Wednesday morning, and you can hear him share his story live on Okanagan Oldies 103.9 FM.

On Jan. 31, Bell will donate five cents to Canadian mental health programs for every text message, mobile and long distance call made by Bell customers, and for every tweet using the #BellLetsTalk hashtag.
