Slashed tires at college

Alanna Kelly

At least 10 vehicles parked at Okanagan College were vandalized on Saturday afternoon.

Carrie Langevin said her vehicle and nine others were all parked in staff and student parking near the library between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m..

She discovered that all the vehicles had damaged tires on the passenger side of the vehicles.

“Two of my tires were completely flat,” she said.

Along with damaged tires was a note to contact campus security because tires had been slashed.

"I talked to security and they told me that they had talked to KalTire and they had told them the tires were vandalized with a sharp tool," Langevin said.

RCMP told her that all the drivers must have driven over something that damaged all 10 vehicle's tires.

"It is pretty frustrating, I am a student working a part time job... it is a huge inconvenience," she said.

Castanet has reached out to RCMP and will update as more information becomes available.
