Warmer temps ahead

Environment Canada has some good news to start off the new year.

The Okanagan will warm up slightly over the next few days.

"It's going to warm up slowly, but surely. There is really no chance of significant snow fall over the next few days," said Environment Canada meteorologist Greg Pearce.

Tuesday, the Okanagan will see a high of -7 C with a mix of sun and cloud.

Wednesday and Thursday will see a high of -6 C and cloudy periods.

Thursday night, the Okanagan should expect a small amount of snow.

On Friday, there is a 60 per cent chance of flurries, with no more than two centimetres of accumulation expected and a high of -1 C.

Saturday and Sunday should see a relatively balmy high of zero with cloudy periods.
