Snowy fun for pups

While small dogs could find themselves disappearing in the recent Okanagan snowfall, a Kelowna kennel has found a way to get its pint-sized charges the exercise they need.

Diana Shardlow, manager at Kelowna Pet Resort, spent Thursday shovelling an obstacle course in one of the yards that's used by smaller dogs.

“My back will never be the same again!” Shardlow said with a laugh.

“When you let the dogs out, they love it.”

Kelowna Pet Resort posted a video of two of its smaller dogs, Jack and Cassie, getting first tracks on the recently shovelled course.

Judging by their reactions, Shardlow's hard work was greatly appreciated.

“They don't really want to run in the deep snow,” Shardlow said. “Unless you dig it out, they're not going out in that yard at all.”
