Christmas gift gets lost

A Castanet reader has reached out to the newsroom after finding what he believes is a lost Christmas present.

Chris Seib posted some clues about the package on his Facebook page.

"The item is brand new, still in its box, worth about $200, and flies."

He says he found the package on the side of the road Friday morning at 6:35 a.m.

"I found what I can only assume is something that was going to be a Christmas present. It appears to have fallen off the roof of someone's vehicle, possibly after they left a gas station."

He'd like the rightful owner to contact him through Facebook. "If you properly identify it (including where I found it), I'd love to return this to you."

If Seib can't find the owner, he says he will sell it and donate the money to the food bank.
