Pride and joy stolen

Madison Erhardt

A man's pride and joy was stolen in the early morning on Wednesday in Kelowna.

The Ford F150 truck was sitting in an apartment parking garage.

"I was awake at 2 a.m. and went downstairs to the lobby and found a little notice on our board that said 'heads up the tire thieves are back.' So I thought I better go check on my truck. I went into the garage and it was gone," Gary Dunn said.

"It's heartbreaking. It is my pride and joy. I have been working on it for a year and a half," Dunn added.

Dunn said he had tires inside the vehicle. He estimates the total value of the car with everything inside of it is around $15,000.

The truck is a 1996 Ford F150 with the license plate PA600L.

RCMP are currently investigating the theft.
