ORIGINAL 7:30 a.m.

Madison Fine, a 25-year-old Kelowna resident and girlfriend of Red Scorpion gang member, Jamie Bacon has passed away according to her family.

An obituary on Castanet indicates she passed away from an accidental overdose on Dec. 1, 2017.

Fine made her way to Vancouver last week to be near her boyfriend when a ruling came down throwing out his murder charge.

According to a report in the Vancouver Sun, Fine was found unresponsive in a Richmond hotel by Bacon’s mother, Susan, dead of a suspected overdose.

A celebration of life will be held in the new year.

In lieu of flowers, the family is considering which charity they would like you to donate to should anyone choose to do so.
