New Okanagan nightmare

A new nightmare is coming to the Okanagan.

"A Father's Nightmare," the latest sequel in the nightmare series began filming in the Central Okanagan earlier this morning.

The movie is the sixth in the series which began with the highly rated, "A Mother's Nightmare," which was filmed in the Okanagan in 2012.

Others in the series include, A Surrogate's Nightmare, A Wife's Nightmare, A Daughter's Nightmare and A Sister's Nightmare.

The latest movie is one of nine Sepia Films has brought to the Central Okanagan.

A Father's Nightmare is directed by Vic Sarin, celebrated Canadian filmmaker, director, cinematographer and writer.

The film stars Jessica Lowndes (90210, A Deadly Adoption) reprising the role of Vanessa, Joel Gretsch ( “NCIS, “The Legend of Bagger Vance”) and rising Vancouver actress Kaitlyn Bernard (Steven King’s 1922)  with Annabeth Gish (X Files, Mystic Pizza)  reprising her role as “Maddie” from AMN.

“We are doing things right when production companies are returning year after year with multiple productions.” said Okanagan film commissioner Jon Summerland.

“During the spring and summer we have been very busy with more projects in various stages of development than ever before, which is creating continued industry growth in this area. And animation in the region, as always, is growing steadily.”
