All about the wine

It's time to figure out what's next for wine and tourism in B.C.

The Wine and Culinary Tourism Futures conference will bring together a wide range of specialists to share ideas and practices on the possibilities of the evolving travel market.

Speakers from 12 countries will share their expertise at the four-day conference in Kelowna, taking part in panel discussions and keynote addresses. Site visits to wine and culinary producers will also be included.

“Our hope, as a co-presenter of this conference, is to open a dialogue between academic, industry, and government stakeholders,” says Jonathan Rouse, associate dean at the Okanagan School of Business and director of food, wine and tourism at Okanagan College.

“Having this first-ever conference in Kelowna is a natural fit because the Okanagan is truly emerging on the world food and wine stage – and at the college we have been at the centre of that movement."

The conference runs Oct. 17-20. To register, visit www.wineandculinarytourismfutures.ca.
