Unlike his alleged victim, the Westbank man charged in connection with Kelowna's first murder of the year has kept a low profile with the law.
Darryl Michael Cook, 24, of Glenrosa is charged with first degree murder following the discovery of a local woman's body.
Danielle Francis Larson's body was found June 14 at an illegal dump off Glenrosa Road. Cook was charged on Monday and is due in court this Thursday.
Larson was 29 and had an extensive criminal record including drug trafficking, but records show the 24-year-old Cook has managed to stay out of trouble with one exception.
In March 2003, he was charged with driving while prohibited. He pled guilty and was sentenced to seven days in jail.
Police say Cook and Larson knew each other but can't get into details.
