Swinging with Stars raised more than $250,000 for the Central Okanagan Hospice Association.
This weekend's event is the association's largest fundraising event of the year, and over its nine years running, it has raised more than $1 million for the cause.
The "Oscar-style" evening featured local stars performing dances from Hollywood films.
This year, all funds raised will help support the association's bereavement program and move to their new centre at 1890 Cooper Road.
“Dances performed from movies like Grease, Dirty Dancing and Saturday Night Fever that everyone in the audience knew, provided a most entertaining night,” said event co-ordinator Jan Woolsey.
Alex Lambert, CEO, The Garage Sale Luxury Auction House, raised the most funds, with a record-breaking $85,310. The six dance teams raised nearly $155,000.
Maria Graziano, the owner of Bliss Bridal Boutique, and her professional dance partner, Jaime Cuberos from the Latinesque Ballroom and Latin Dance Studio won the Judges’ Choice trophy for their rendition of Time of My Life from the movie Dirty Dancing.
Wilbur Turner, owner of Kelowna Wine and Art Piano Bar, and his partner Albert Ascona, a Westjet flight attendant, won the Audience Choice trophy with their disco performance from Saturday Night Fever.
