Police back at trouble home

Police were back this week at a Kelowna house where a dramatic scene recently unfolded.

On Jan. 14, police surrounded the home on McKenzie Road, off Highway 33. Officers, armed with scoped rifles, took position behind road barriers as fellow officers responded to a report of a man inside waving a knife.

This week, the police presence was much more subdued, with several officers appearing to leisurely speak with people at the residence.

Neighbours sent the photos to Castanet, saying they are fed up with the constant police presence at the home. They say they are also fed up with the mess and constant fear.

Residents expressed similar frustrations not long after the high-profile January incident.

RCMP did not say why they were at the home this week.
