The chefs at the Canadian Culinary Championships have it down pat.
At the Delta Grand hotel, top chefs from across Canada were given a mystery bottle of wine Friday night and challenged to create a dish with local ingredients that best complimented it.
Guests sampled their creations during the competition, which continues Saturday with a black box cook-off at the Okanagan College kitchens and winds up with the crowning of Canada's top chef at tomorrow night during the grand finale.
Attendees had the opportunity to play judge Friday night as they voted for the best wine and food pairing.
A silent auction of rare wines and other experiences was also featured as guests sipped wine and tasted decadent food.
