Life & Arts Festival Wraps

by - Story: 18466

The 3rd annual Life and Arts Festival wraps up in Kelowna Sunday.

The event, which celebrates Kelowna's thriving arts and cultural community, takes place in the Cultural District, in and around the Mary Irwin Theatre, Kelowna Art Gallery and Laurel Building.

In 2004, the festival attracted about 10,000 visitors, last year, that total nearly doubled.

The concept is to provide a fun, family oriented festival that offers an eclectic mix of visual and performing arts, music, live theatre, street performances and experiences that will appeal to a wide audience from young children to old.

The Life & Arts Festival highlights and showcases the best Kelowna and the Okanagan have to offer while bringing many artists, opportunities and audiences into our Cultural District.

The BMO Bank of Montreal Festival Village is the heart of the Life & Arts Festival, a buzzing hub of activity where people can go to gather for Festival events, explore the arts and enjoy Kelowna’s Cultural District. Join us for an explosion of visual and performing arts, music, live theatre, street performances, culinary arts, and experiences that appeal to young and old alike.

Lake City Casinos Mainstage offers an eclectic mix of performances and performance arts throughout the Life & Arts Festival weekend. From the rhythms of Brazil to the storytelling and music of Australian Aboriginal culture these will be performances you will never forget.

Visit the BC Lottery Corp. Info Booths during the Life & Arts Festival as a meeting spot for friends and to get the latest information on events taking place.
