Robbed with a weapon

Police are on the hunt for an armed robber.

Kelowna RCMP are asking for help finding a man who used a weapon to rob Mac’s convenience store on Richter Street just after midnight Monday morning.

"Police have learned that a lone male suspect entered the store, brandishing a weapon, and demanded that the lone employee open the cash register," said Kelowna RCMP in a statement.

"The victim was not injured during the encounter."

Police said the robber fled the store with cash. He's described as 18 years old, 5-foot-10 and slender. 

He was wearing blue jeans, a black and maroon Adidas hoodie, gloves, a black and white ball cap and was carrying a black bag.
