Santa trades sleigh for bus

It may not be pulled by reindeer, but Santa will still be using it to get around the city.

Once again, BC Transit and its regional partners are getting into the holiday spirit with the return of the Santa Sleigh Bus and the Parade of Lights.

The Santa Sleigh Bus will roll through the Central Okanagan from Dec. 4-10, and will make more than 30 stops over seven days collecting food, toys and cash donations for the Salvation Army Christmas Hamper program.

This is the 13th year that the Santa Sleigh Bus fundraiser has been running in the region. Each year the donations collected enable the Salvation Army to help families in need over the holidays and year-round. It is a great way to contribute to the local community.

For exact times and locations, see the attached PDF.

The Parade of Lights will be held Dec. 9-10. Buses will run from Costco at 7 p.m. and tour some of the most decorated homes and businesses in the Kelowna region. Tickets for the Parade of Lights are available at Q103, Power 104 and Castanet.net with a donation of food, clothing or cash donation.
