An investigation into the Kelowna RCMP detachment has found no wrongdoing.
The Abbotsford Police Department said Wednesday morning that they'd investigated "a single complaint connected to an individual at the Kelowna RCMP detachment."
That investigation began in early September 2016 – around the same time Supt. Nick Romanchuk's retirement was suddenly announced.
"Our investigation did not find evidence that a criminal offence was committed," said the APD in a brief statement.
"We appreciate the assistance of witnesses, the public and the media throughout the course of this investigation."
