Kelowna city council will be looking far into the future next week as part of a new planning initiative.
Imagine Kelowna will welcome several “prominent locals” to council to share their expertise on future trends and help plan for the future.
On July 25, Dr. Keith Culver, professor of management at UBC Okanagan, will talk to council about how to plan for an uncertain future.
Culver grew up in the Okanagan, and worked for 20 years around the world with major firms in the energy, transport and construction sectors. He moved back to the Okanagan in 2011 to teach.
Other speakers will also present to council over the next several months.
Culver will present to council at 1:30 p.m. July 25.
