A truck and a BMW collided at the intersection of McCurdy and Friesen about 8:40 p.m, Thursday.
The driver of the truck was taken to hospital after his vehicle crashed through two fences following the collision.
According to police the driver of the truck was suffering from neck injuries.
A witness on scene said collisions often occur at this intersection.
Another person told Castanet he heard the crash from his home and is concerned because he witnesses accidents in the area about once a month.
“It’s a pretty busy area, there are three schools in a three-block radius. I wouldn’t want to see anything happen to a little kid,” said the man.
