It's Toque Tuesday

Okanagan Boys and Girls Club volunteers will be out in full force at tonight’s Kelowna Rockets game, selling winter woolies to keep fans cozy.

The club is a partner in Raising the Roof’s annual national toque campaign, and today is Toque Tuesday.

Fans will be able to purchase a classic toque and socks for $10. New this year, mittens and a premium toque are available for $20.

Boys and Girls will receive 50 per cent of the proceeds to go toward programs for youth at risk of homelessness, with the remaining funds going to Raising the Roof national homelessness initiatives.

The Okanagan Boys and Girls Club's Downtown Youth Centre offers programs and services to support young people, including providing the only overnight youth shelter between Vancouver and Calgary.

Those unable to attend the Rocket’s game can purchase a toque in person at the Downtown Youth Centre or online.
