Car wash vandalized

The incident happened in the early hours of Monday. Moe Matte said two people vandalized the building, stole an electronic bill acceptor and coin acceptor parts worth thousands of dollars.

Several hundred dollars was also taken from inside the store, along with merchandise.

The suspects are described as: male, wearing dark clothing and driving a red Nissan Pathfinder with silver step bars and a black stripe on the hood. The vehicle has large stickers on the back window.

“I want to locate the vehicle ... as soon as possible, as I might be able to repossess my expensive currency validation equipment, if I’m lucky," said Matte.

He suspects the men may have tried to break in before to steal vacuums, but were unsuccessful.

Cpl. Joe Duncan with the Kelowna RCMP says the matter is under investigation and that police have the licence plate number of the vehicle, however, it's not yet known if it was stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kelowna RCMP.
