Getting to and from Victoria from the Okanagan will become a little bit easier as of Oct. 27.
Pacific Coastal Airlines announced Tuesday they are adding two direct flights, Monday to Friday, between the two cities, and one flight a day on the weekends.
These will add more options to the one mid-day direct flight currently offered by WestJet.
The new flights will depart Kelowna at 9 a.m. and 6:55 p.m., Monday to Friday.
“It is a nice one in the sense that it does go out twice a day … it allows people (to use it) for those same day business meetings,” said Jenelle Hynes, community relations manager at Kelowna International Airport.
The Pacific Coastal Airlines flight will use a Saab 340 airplane, which seats 30 to 34 passengers.
The flight will take just over an hour and will start at $147.23 for a one-way flight.
The current WestJet flight costs as low $124.03.
