Accidents slow traffic

Southbound traffic on Highway 97 near Lake Country was down to one lane following two accidents Sunday evening.

According to witnesses, two cars in two separate places went into the ditch near Lake Country.

Kayla Robson said a cab was on its side in the ditch at Country RV, and in the second accident, a car flipped on the hill at the south end of Duck Lake.

"Traffic is currently still moving, one southbound lane is closed. Several police cars, an ambulance and a fire truck are all on scene," she said.

Lee Olinger said road conditions were wet and slippery at the time.
