A 56-year-old Penticton man faces a number of potential charges resulting from a five-car pile-up on Harvey Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. at Harvey and Ethel Street. The suspect walked away from the crash scene.
"A witness on scene advised that the driver of the black pickup truck failed to stop, causing the five-vehicle pile-up. A short time and distance later, the driver and owner of the pickup truck was located by police," said RCMP Cpl. Joe Duncan.
The 56-year-old man is facing a number of potential criminal and Motor Vehicle Act charges.
Three people were sent to hospital, including the 56-year-old male, with minor injuries. Other occupants were treated and released on scene.
