An appeal to identify suspected counterfeiters in Penticton has resulted in an arrest.

Last week, Penticton RCMP appealed to the public through the media to be on the lookout for counterfeit $100 bills in circulation.

A 38-year-old has been caught trying to pass a $100 counterfeit bill at the Foodlands Corner Store in Penticton.

Police say counterfeit $100 bills are being sold in the community for $15 a piece.
